The Estate
Michel Darriet's daughter, from a line of eight generations of passionate winemakers, took over the reins of the estate in 2019 with a bold vision: to offer authentic viticulture where tradition and modernity come together in harmony, freeing itself from the established conventions of Bordeaux.
“Like a Phoenix, the Domaine des Perchés rises from its ashes…”

More than 200 years of family tradition
Located on the heights of Cadillac, the Domaine des Perchés is much more than a simple vineyard: it embodies above all the heritage of a family line of passionate winegrowers. Founded more than two centuries ago, in 1822, this estate has spanned eight generations, with the same fervor for respecting the terroir and peasant tradition. The art of winemaking was thus passed down from father to son until 2001, leaving the vineyard dormant for almost 20 years. Ready to be reborn, at the right time... "Kaïros" the Greeks say.
This time came in 2019, when Carine decided to breathe new life into the family legacy. Daughter of Michel Darriet, she took over from her father, with a fierce desire to reconcile tradition and modernity. Like a Phoenix, the estate "is reborn from its vines", embracing a new philosophy, where nature and culture blend harmoniously. Far from established conventions, Carine advocates a free style. A passionate winemaker, she strives to extract the best, working in particular with forgotten or atypical grape varieties for the region, such as Syrah or Mancin Noir, which require special attention.
Domaine des Perchés was born from this renaissance; it is a place where unique wines are created, full of emotion, which reflect all the richness of the terroir, in a sustainable viticulture approach. Already following in his footsteps, his son Marius intends to perpetuate this new vision of an authentic vineyard, more alive than ever!
